Previous Deadlines
The previous permit expired in 2012, several deadlines were met, including some that require public participation and review.
- Illicit Discharge Detection and Elimination Ordinance (IDDE)
- Deadline August 16, 2009
- The purpose of this ordinance is to prevent and control the introduction of pollutants to the stormwater system, prohibit illegal connections and discharges to the stormwater system and receiving waters and provide legal authority to carry out inspection, surveillance, monitoring procedures and enforcement necessary to ensure compliance with the ordinance.
- Develop of a written IDDE Program plan to address the inspection of outfalls, tracing sources of illicit discharges, staff training needs, field assessments, spill response and containment, tracing methods, sampling/analyzing techniques, removal methods, interface with other agencies, and program evaluation methods.

- Construction Site Erosion and Sediment Control Ordinance
- Deadline February 16, 2010
- The purpose of this ordinance is to ensure that controls to prevent or minimize water quality impacts are in place. This includes determining a process to ensure project review, inspection and compliance.
- Implement procedures for site plan review, including review of Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plans (SWPPPs) prior to construction, site inspection and enforcement of construction stormwater pollution control measures.
- Provide adequate training for all permitting, planning, review, inspection, and enforcement staff.
- Maintain records of activities related to site plan review, inspection, and enforcement.

- Post-Construction Stormwater Management Ordinance
- Deadline February 16, 2010
- The purpose of this ordinance is to ensure that controls to prevent or minimize water quality impacts from new and redevelopment projects are in place after construction is completed. This includes determining a process to ensure project review, inspection and compliance.
- Implement procedures for site plan review, including review of stormwater site plans prior to construction to ensure that plans include stormwater pollution prevention measures.
- Implement procedures for site inspection and enforcement of post-construction stormwater control measures.
- Provide adequate training for staff.
- Maintain records.

- Public Education and Outreach Plan
- Deadline February 16, 2010
- This plan identifies target audiences and provides an outline to implement a public education and outreach program to distribute educational materials to the community about impacts of their daily activities on water quality and methods to minimize impacts and improve water quality.
- The full program must be implemented by August 16, 2011.

- Mapping the Stormwater System
- Deadline February 10, 2012
- This project involves mapping the stormwater system to identify potential water problems, better track and identify sources of illicit discharges and develop a maintenance plan for the stormwater system. This is an ongoing project that involves GPS data gathering and GIS mapping.
- Good Housekeeping and Operation and Maintenance Plans for Municipal Operations
- Deadline August 17, 2011
- This project involves identifying potential pollution causing activities at municipal facilities, developing a plan to reduce pollution resulting from these activities and developing a record keeping process to track these activities.
